The Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) Choir recently competed at the UIL Choir Concert and Sight-reading Contest held at The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg. Four choirs, the Junior-Varsity Treble, Varsity Treble, Varsity Tenor-Bass, and Varsity Mixed Choir, competed and all four choirs received Division 1 ratings in both Concert and Sight-reading performances, earning the Sweepstakes Trophy. This was the most choirs at VMHS to get sweepstakes at this event.
The choirs are under the direction of Vanessa Sepulveda and Ricardo Garza.
