Mission Lions Club provides vision screening for district elementary students

Mission, Texas- Members of the Mission Lions Club have spent a lot of time at each of the Mission Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) elementary schools. Their vision screening team worked closely with campus nurses to schedule and provide vision screening for all Pre-K and Kindergarten students. The team took 14 days and about 120 hours to complete the task. The Lions Club team screened a total of 1,391 Mission CISD students. About a quarter of those students were given referrals for further exams with eye doctors.

The Mission Lions Club has also partnered with Mission CISD at the Annual Back to School Bash held in August to provide vision screening for students of any grade level attending the event.
