Mission, Texas- Four students from Veterans Memorial High School (VMHS) have earned chairs in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 15 Orchestra. These four students have also set a campus record for the number of students earning a spot in the regional orchestra.
The students are, left to right: Laura Barba, first chair, philharmonic orchestra; Juan Mercado, second chair, philharmonic orchestra; Rodrigo Barrera, first chair, philharmonic orchestra; Brandon Salinas, second chair, symphony orchestra.
These four students will perform as a part of the TMEA Regional Orchestras on November 10 at 4:00 p.m. at McAllen High School. They are advancing to the regional contest to be held on November 17.
