VMHS BPA students headed to Dallas for State Competition

Veterans Memorial High School Business Professionals of America students participated in the Regional Leadership Conference on January 10-11, 2019, in McAllen, Texas. VMHS State Qualifiers will be heading to Dallas, Texas for State Competition on March 6 - 10, 2019.  

 

VMHS BPA State Qualifiers: Michael Iglesias (JAVA Programming) 2 place State Qualifier; Miguel Ayala (Fundamental Word Processing) 3rd Place, State Qualifier; Vanessa Luna (Banking & Finance) 3rd place State Qualifier; Karina Pena (Medical Office Procedures) 1st place State Qualifier; and Delilah Moreno (Basic Office Systems & Procedures) 4th place State Qualifier.

 

VMHS BPA State Alternates: Oscar Padron (Small Business Management Team) State Alternate; Alexandro Rodriguez (Graphic Designing Promotion and Economic Research Team) State Alternate; Nelissa Garcia (Prepared Speech & Small Business Management Team) State Alternate; Cristian Sanchez (Computer Security) State Alternate; Kevin Delgadillo (Entrepreneurship) State Alternate;  Leah Picazo (Legal Office Procedures) State Alternate; Gabina Adame (Economic Research Team) State Alternate; and Brittney Sepulveda (Extemporaneous Speech & Small Business Management Team) State Alternate.

 

VMHS State Qualifiers will be joining over 2,700 from across the state in state level business skills competitions. BPA is a national organization for middle school, high school, and college students preparing for careers in business and office occupations. The organization’s activities and programs give students practical experience through application of skills learned in school which complement classroom instruction.

 

VMHS BPS students are under the direction of Esperanza Flores-Garza. She is a Business Information Management I & College Readiness Teacher and a BPA Sponsor.
