Veterans Memorial High School student-athlete, Landry Gilpin signed on the dotted line today, officially accepting a football scholarship from Southwestern University. Gilpin led the VMHS Patriot Football Team into the fourth round of the state playoffs as quarterback, this past season, setting records along the way. His post season honors include: Mr. Texas Football, Associated Press 5A Offensive Player of the Year, Associated Press First Team All-State Quarterback, The Old Coach Texas All-State First Team Quarterback, USA Today All-USA Texas Second Team Quarterback, Texas High School Coaches Association Second Team-Academic All-State.
