District Attorney’s Office provides informative presentation to MHS Law Enforcement classes

Mission High School Law Enforcement classes had special presenters from the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office today that provided a discussion on a specific theme of Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Awareness. The different speakers provided a very informative presentation on the topic from their perspective and their field of expertise.

 

This event is part of the Young Hearts Matter campaign which focuses in generating dating abuse awareness and prevention. Students listened attentively and were able to ask questions at the end.  A special thank you to all the presenters: Brenda Fuentes (Victim Unit Coordinator), Joel Garcia (Assistant District Attorney for the Civil/Juvenile Unit), Hector Garcia (Victim Advocate for the Victims Unit), and Luis Heredia (Victim Advocate for the Victims Unit).
